What are the admission requirements for undergraduate/graduate programs?
- Undergraduate programs: You need to have successfully completed your secondary education (high school or equivalent) and have a good level of English.
- Graduate programs: A recognized bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required. Some programs may also request work experience or interview
What are the minimum requirements to apply?
Each program at EUC has its own admission criteria, based on accreditation standards. However, here are the general minimum requirements you’ll need to meet:
• A minimum grade average on your High School Leaving Certificate (varies by program)
• Proof of English language proficiency
• Completion of prerequisite courses (for some specialized programs like Medicine, Dentistry, and Veterinary Medicine)

What is the application process?
The application process is simple:
- Complete the online application form.
- Upload the required documents.
- Our Admissions Office will contact you with the next steps.
Can I apply with unofficial transcripts?
Yes! You can apply using unofficial transcripts for the initial application review. If everything looks good, you’ll receive a conditional offer. Just keep in mind that we’ll need your official transcripts later on to complete the admissions process.

How can I check the status of my application?
Once your application is submitted, an Admissions Advisor will get in touch with you by email or phone. They’ll be your go-to contact and will support you every step of the way.

Are there any specific entrance exams or language proficiency tests required?
There are no general entrance exams. If you don’t have proof of English proficiency (e.g., IELTS, TOEFL), we may ask you to take our English Placement Test after you arrive in Cyprus. Different academic requirements apply for certain programs. Please refer to our website to learn more.
Is proof of English required for admission?
Yes, proof of English proficiency is required, especially if you’re applying to the following programs:
• Medicine
• Dentistry
• Veterinary Medicine
For other English-taught programs, if you don’t already have a recognized English certificate, you’ll be asked to take our EUC English Placement Test.
English proficiency is also a requirement for non-EU international students due to visa regulations.

Which English language tests does EUC accept?
We accept a wide range of English proficiency exams, including:

- PEARSON PTE Academic
- SAT (Evidence-Based Reading and Writing)
- Michigan Language Assessment
- Password Skills Plus Test
- Anglia Examinations
- Cambridge Exams (GCSE, IGCSE, A/AS Levels)

For most programs, a minimum B2 level (according to the CEFR scale) is required, while some undergraduate programs may accept B1.

What documents are needed for the application?

What are the application deadlines?
- For Fall intake (October start): Apply by early September.
- For Spring intake (February start): Apply by mid-January.
We recommend applying early to secure your place. - For Non-EU applicants different dates might apply due to visa requirements
Can I cancel or withdraw my application?
Yes, you can. If you decide to withdraw your application, we recommend reviewing our policies on refunds and cancellations first.

Is there an application fee? If so, how much is it?
Yes, there is a non-refundable application fee of €80. For the programs of Medicine, Dentistry, Vet, and the MSc in Orthodontics and Clinical Psychology the application fee is €200

Can I transfer credits from another university?
Yes, we do offer credit transfers if you’ve studied at another accredited institution. Each case is reviewed individually, depending on the content and level of your previous courses.

What is the language of instruction?
The language of instruction for most programs is English. Some undergraduate and graduate programs may also be offered in Greek.
Are there any distance learning or online programs available?
Yes! EUC offers fully online programs at undergraduate and graduate levels through the Distance Learning Unit. These are ideal if you’re looking for flexibility.

What is the tuition fee for my chosen program?
Tuition fees vary by program. Here’s a general idea:
- Undergraduate programs: from €8,940 per year
- Graduate (Master’s): from €4,320 to €13,500 total
- Medical/Dental programs: start at €22,000–€24,000 per year

What is the cost of living in Cyprus for a student?
- On average, monthly rental expenses range from €600-€1000 depending on type of accommodation
- Monthly living costs are around €600–€900, including, food, transportation, and leisure.
What accommodation options are available for students?
Students can stay in:
- Our modern university residences 5 minutes walking distance from campus
- Private apartments around the campus. The university housing unit can assist you with housing listings
When can I apply for housing?
- Accommodation is widely available; however, the peak period for viewing and securing housing is typically from June to September.
- We strongly recommend that accepted students apply for housing as early as possible to increase their chances of securing their preferred option. Housing applications can be submitted directly through the EUC website.
How do I apply for a student visa to Cyprus?
All non-EU students need to obtain a visa to study in Cyprus. Once accepted, the university will guide you step-by-step. You’ll need:
- A valid passport
- Acceptance letter from EUC
- Proof of funds/bank statement
- Medical/Health Certificates
- Clear Criminal Record
- Payment of Tuition Fees

How long does it take to issue a student visa?
- All attested documents must be sent to the university.
- The university submits the application to:
- The Ministry of Education for approval of academic qualifications.
- The Migration Department for the issuance of the entry permit.
- The processing time for the entry permit is typically 3–4 weeks.
- Once issued, a copy of the entry permit is emailed to the student.
What are the visa application deadlines?
To ensure sufficient time for visa processing, you need to submit all required documents by the deadlines below:
- Fall Intake (October start): August 31
- Spring Intake (February start): January 15
- PhD Applicants: December 15
We strongly encourage early application submission to avoid delays and ensure your visa is processed on time.
Residence Permit for Non-EU Students at EUC – Key Information

The residence permit allows the holder to legally reside in Cyprus for the duration of their studies at a recognized tertiary institution.

The permit holder may work after 6 months from their first entry into Cyprus, under the following conditions:

Up to 20 hours per week during the academic semester.

Up to 38 hours per week during official university holidays.

Employment must be within approved sectors of the economy, as specified by the Ministry of Labour and Social Insurance.

A formal employment contract must be secured with a specific employer and stamped by the Department of Labour.

Employment in private households is also permitted, provided each job is recorded in the official booklet issued to the student.
