‘Motion Vibes’ an innovative Education Project

An outstanding innovative program for hearing impaired students takes place only at European University Cyprus. ‘’Motion Vibes’’ is a unique innovative project – the only one of its kind – through which hearing impaired students can add sound to the moving image.

The project was developed and implemented by Ms. Demetra Englezou, 3D Design and Animation Instructor at European University Cyprus, as part of the activities of the Cultural Studies and Contemporary Arts Laboratory. The ‘’Motion Vibes’’ is based entirely on the relationship between kinesiology and sound using vibrations. The students, using apps (applications) with a vibration output depending on the ripples of the music, can ‘’feel’’ the sound and synchronize it to the moving image.
