Special and Inclusive Education

Collaboration with National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA)

The program is being implemented through an important collaboration between the Pedagogical Department of Primary Education of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and the Department of Education Sciences at European University Cyprus.

School Placement

The National and Kapodistrian University of Athens Pedagogical Department of Primary Education is responsible for the placement of students in in face-to-face educational settings in Greece. School placements are offered through a course of 24 ECTS, which includes the following for students both in Cyprus and Greece: (a)) workshops from professionals and experts on issues of education of learners with disabilities, inclusive education, learning assessment of disabilities and special educational needs, issues of children and adolescents mental health and the education of socially vulnerable groups, (b) visits to various educational settings with learners with disabilities and special educational needs or other socially vulnerable groups, (c) mentoring and supervision, group discussions, and more.

Recognition of Qualifications

The program carries 120 ECTS and provides credits (μοριοδότηση) for hiring and promotion in the public sector in Greece and Cyprus.
