Distance Learning Opportunities

The DEU Unit offers programs leading to Master Degrees and other specialization courses for the development of the professional competences. The Unit is established for the purpose to offer access to education opportunities provided by European University of Cyprus, to a wide number of people who until now, due to geographical, professional, family or other constraints, were not allowed to attend a face-to-face program. In this way, the DEU responds to the current and growing needs of society for learning, through alternative education programs and it promotes equal opportunity in education.

Our ambition is to create Postgraduate programs equivalent to those offered by our University through conventional (face-to-face) teaching, and at the same time professional training and specialization of the theoretical background of professionals, through independent courses. Finally, our students will have the opportunity to take specific courses from each cycle of the offered programs, by paying the amount that corresponds to them, while at the end will receive a ‘Specialization Certificate’ by the European University Cyprus. The credits (ECTS) of the specific courses will be recognized if the students decide later to enroll, in a relevant Postgraduate program.

Entry to Master Degree programs requires you to have a Diploma (BA) from a recognized University. The other programs of vocational training are open to high school graduates, professionals, graduate, postgraduate and PhD students who wish to update and enrich their knowledge on the offered subjects and enable them to gain skills and strategies they can use immediately.

Our programs are taught by the highly qualified faculty of the European University Cyprus or external associates, specialists in their respective fields and with experience in Distance Education and the use of Information and Communication technologies.

The DEU will start offering programs in October 2013, with two Master Degrees:

Master Degree in Educational Sciences, with two concentrations:

• Education Leadership (in Greek)
• Special (Inclusive) Education (in Greek)

Master Degree in Business Administration (MBA) (in English)

The corresponding conventional programs of our University are already recognized by DOATAP– Hellenic NARIC (Hellenic National Academic Recognition Information Center). More specialization courses will be offered, as well as seminars and training programs for the development of the professional competences.

Application period for all the above Postgraduate Distance Education Programs is during 1st June 2013-23st September 2013.
