Mr. Lortz was warmly received on campus by Dr. Roman Bux, Campus Director of the EUC Frankfurt Branch, and Dr. Efterpi Kostareli, Chairperson of the Department of Medicine. The visit was further enriched by the presence of esteemed clinical partners from the Frankfurt Red Cross Hospitals, including Clinical Professor Dr. Aristotelis Kaisidis, Chief Physician of Shoulder Surgery, Adjunct Professor Dr. Savvas Apostolidis, Chief Physician of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery, and Mr. Tobias Budde, Deputy Managing Director for Finance and Strategy.

As a designated teaching hospital of EUC, the Frankfurt Red Cross Hospitals play a pivotal role in offering medical students a hands-on, real-world learning experience that complements their academic studies.

During a guided campus tour, Mr. Lortz engaged directly with students of the accredited Doctor of Medicine program, explored EUC’s advanced simulation labs, and gained insight into the cutting-edge educational infrastructure that supports student learning. Students had the opportunity to present their academic journey and emphasize how the collaboration with Frankfurt Red Cross Clinics enhances their clinical training and professional development.

“The visit by Vice President Frank Lortz reflects the growing recognition of the EUC Frankfurt Branch as a forward-thinking institution committed to bridging academic excellence with clinical practice,” said Professor Elizabeth Johnson, Dean of the EUC School of Medicine. “It also highlights the importance of strong partnerships between universities, healthcare providers, and the community in training future physicians who are not only highly skilled but also adaptable to the fast-evolving medical landscape.”

Established in 2022, the EUC School of Medicine in Frankfurt continues to attract aspiring medical professionals from around the globe. Its collaboration with the Frankfurt Red Cross Hospitals ensures that students are equipped with the medical knowledge, practical competencies, and ethical values required for successful careers in healthcare, both locally and internationally.
