EUC Students secure 3rd Place at Robotex Cyprus

Posted: October 16, 2024

Great achievement for our students and members of the Robotics Club, Christos Georgiou (Bachelor Computer Science) and Anna Ntavri (Bachelor Nursing), who have achieved an outstanding 3rd place in the Mini Sumo category at Robotex Cyprus!

Their remarkable achievement is the result of their hard work, dedication, and exceptional teamwork. Christos and Anna designed and programmed their robot, pushing the boundaries of innovation to secure their place on the podium. They put in countless hours, printing parts on a 3D printer and assembling their robot. Competing against top teams from across Cyprus, their success is a true testament to their passion for robotics and problem-solving.

Under the guidance of Dr. Pericles Leng Cheng, Lecturer of Robotics & Artificial Intelligence, the EUC Robotics Club, provides students with the opportunity to develop programming skills and gain expertise in the hardware necessary to design and program robots that can perform tasks autonomously.
