Full Scholarship Announcement for Doctoral Studies in “Education Sciences” on the topic: “Gender and Education”
European University Cyprus announces one (1) Academic Excellence Scholarship for the Ph.D. Program in “Education Sciences”. The scholarship covers tuition in full and is exclusively for a newly admitted doctoral students for the academic year 2024-251, under the supervision of a three-member committee led by the Vice Rector of Academic Affairs, Professor Loizos Symeou. The research topic will focus on “Gender and Education,” specifically exploring “Gender and Higher Education” or “Gender and Household Work” through sociological investigation. The doctoral research can be conducted in either Greek or English.
TERMS AND CRITERIA FOR APPLICATION SUBMISSION
Applicants must:
- Hold a master’s degree in a field related to the doctoral dissertation.
- Submit a detailed, documented research proposal on one of the aforementioned topics, which they will be expected to defend in an oral interview.
- Have excellent knowledge of Greek language and very good knowledge of English language (Level 2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages/CEFR).

In addition to submitting their research proposal, applicants need to submit all necessary certificates and documents mentioned in the admission application, along with a cover letter stating that the application is for the specific scholarship.

The final selection will be based on the evaluation of the research proposal and the qualifications of the applicants, as well as their performance in the personal interview process, as per the established procedures of the Ph.D. program in “Education Sciences”.
