The MSc Data Analytics in Accounting and Finance at EUC aims to train students in key concepts and theories in Accounting, Finance and Data Analytics.  The program equips students with advanced skills, scientific methodologies and analytical tools to meet the challenges of a fast-changing environment where vast amounts of data are available. As new digital technologies continue to be widely adopted in the Accounting and Finance industry, there is an urgent need to equip students with the technological skills and knowledge necessary to use big data in decision-making in the current and future business environment. Data analytics applications impact virtually every business sector and industry, thus graduating students are equipped for a wide range of employment opportunities or for doctoral studies in the field.

Exemptions from ACCA

The degree also earns you up to 7 exemptions for ACCA professional accounting qualification which is highly valued for a career in financial institutions and accountancy firms.

Upon completion of the MSc in Data Analytics in Accounting and Finance curriculum, students will gain exemptions for up to seven (7) ACCA courses, accelerating both their academic and professional standing. These exemptions include  Business and Technology, Management Accounting, Financial Accounting, Corporate and Business Law, Performance Management, Financial Reporting and Financial Management facilitating a streamlined path towards ACCA qualification. Moreover, students who successfully complete the elective courses Financial and Managerial Accounting (AEM600 or AED600), Fundamentals of Finance (AEM610) and Advanced International Financial Reporting (AEM630 or AED630) within the Master's program will be exempt from Financial Reporting and Performance Management in the ACCA curriculum. These exemptions reflect the program's robust focus on data analytics within the accounting and finance domains, preparing students to excel in complex analytical roles while offering significant advantages in pursuing ACCA accreditation.
