Bachelor Degrees
The Bachelor of Music at EUC brings together those whose passion is music and whose ambitions are to make a career out of doing what they love. Our students are exposed to artistic and scientific aspects of music in areas such as conducting, composition, musicology, music therapy and music education with teachers who hold international distinctions. Our faculty and students perform side-by-side and participate in major local, European and international music collaborations in a variety of genres from Jazz to Classical, Rock to Alternative.
Students take first instrument courses throughout their studies, participate in chamber or large ensembles and take part in festivals, international conferences and Erasmus exchanges. The Music program equips students with the knowledge and skills required for further study at the postgraduate level or for careers as music teachers and professional musicians in solo and ensemble performance contexts.
The Graphic Design program at EUC is unique in its character because of its interdisciplinary nature, with considerable overlap between art and design. The program equips students with key professional skills in both printed and digital communication and new media technologies, including, but not limited to, motion graphics, broadcast design and animation. Students learn the fundamentals of illustration, design principles, typography, contemporary art and visual culture and engage in exciting projects relating to experimental typography, branding, comic book design and computer-generated design.
The professional and academic background of the academic staff, student exchanges, design competitions, festivals, expert visits, workshops and conferences contribute to a fruitful, creative atmosphere and expose students to the latest developments and trends in the field of graphic design. Internships help connect fourth-year students with graphic design, advertising and media production firms to gain experience prior to graduation.
Το Ακαδημαϊκό Πρόγραμμα «Βυζαντινή Μουσική καλύπτει το νευραλγικό γνωστικό αντικείμενο της Ανατολικής Εκκλησιαστικής Μουσικής στο τρίπτυχο της ιστορίας, θεωρίας και πράξης. Ψαλτική, η εκκλησιαστική μουσική, η Βυζαντινή Μουσική όπως είναι ευρύτερα γνωστή, αποτελεί μέγα κεφάλαιο της ορθόδοξης χριστιανικής λατρείας και, ευρύτερα, της ζωής της Εκκλησίας. Συνιστά το πιο χαρακτηριστικό ηχητικό ένδυμα του λόγου, που μας κληροδότησαν οι αξεπέραστοι ποιητές και υμνογράφοι.

The BA in English Studies at EUC allows students to explore the enduring issues of identity, culture, morality and civilization through the analysis of literature and language. Students develop skills in textual analysis, critical thinking and writing, as well as the knowledge and practical skills required for teaching English as a foreign language.
The program reflects the increased demand for teachers in schools, private institutes and private lessons for young children, students and professionals who want to improve their English.
The program’s content fosters critical thinking and clear writing skills which offer graduates multiple employment opportunities in business and government organizations as well.
Master Degrees
The Master of Music program at EUC explores advanced concepts in music education including curriculum theory and design, psychology, teaching strategies and technology in the music classroom. Students are equipped with theoretical, philosophical and creative skills to support and enhance their teaching in varied educational and cultural settings. The Master of Music program offers two areas of specialization: Music Pedagogy and Music Composition.
As with all educators today, music teachers must leverage technology to engage students in the learning process and prepare them for careers of the future. The MMus at EUC will help you develop the teaching, technical and research skills that shape this specialization and reach your full potential in your chosen career path.
The MA in English Studies at EUC offers students the opportunity to examine literary, theoretical and critical texts from a variety of cultural contexts, fostering advanced skills of comprehension, interpretation and analysis. A core feature of the program is the investigation of topics pertaining to Linguistics, Literature and culture(s) with courses such as English in Globalization, Theories of Literature, Postcolonial Studies, World Literature, Second Language Acquisition, Ecocriticism and English Language Teaching Methodology. This coursework enables students to develop practical and academic techniques for further research.
In addition to further academic studies, the program prepares graduates for careers in a variety of business and government or non-governmental sectors. Graduates are able to excel in careers such as teaching, marketing, NGO grant writing, web content development, administrative posts and journalism.
The Master of Music program at EUC offers two specializations which aim to create the proper conditions for students to develop the highest level and standards so as to contribute to the contemporary artistic environment. Students are prepared for effective, successful and diverse artistic engagement as performers and composers, endowed with knowledge, attitudes and skills that will enable them to be active leaders in the musical and cultural life of their community. Students will enhance and excel their performance and creative compositional skills, widening their opportunity for professional careers in ensembles, cultural organizations, administration of music studios and involvement in cultural and creative projects.
The MA in Hellenic Studies with concentrations in History, Archaeology and Art, Heritage Management is addressed to historians, philologists, archaeologists, teachers and educators who are working in primary or secondary education, archaeologists and historians employed in cultural and memory institutions (museums, libraries, archives, public and private institutions including culture-related ministries and local authorities in Greece and Cyprus), in the tourism industry and in sectors related to Greek civilisation.
The MA in Hellenic Studies: Archaeology and Art, aims to enhance student’s knowledge of all major archaeological periods of the Greek world. The proposed courses focus on crucial aspects of Aegean prehistory, the archaeology of the Early Iron Age, the architecture and art of historical Greek antiquity as well as of Byzantine Cyprus.
The MA in Hellenic Studies with concentrations in History, Archaeology and Art, Heritage Management is addressed to historians, philologists, archaeologists, teachers and educators who are working in primary or secondary education, archaeologists and historians employed in cultural and memory institutions (museums, libraries, archives, public and private institutions including culture-related ministries and local authorities in Greece and Cyprus), in the tourism industry and in sectors related to Greek civilisation.
The MA in Hellenic Studies: History aims to enhance student’s knowledge of all major historical periods of the Greek world. The proposed courses focus on crucial aspects of Ancient, Byzantine and Contemporary Greek History, and on how this past is received in the modern era.
The MA in Hellenic Studies with concentrations in History, Archaeology and Art, Heritage Management is addressed to historians, philologists, archaeologists, teachers and educators who are working in primary or secondary education, archaeologists and historians employed in cultural and memory institutions (museums, libraries, archives, public and private institutions including culture-related ministries and local authorities in Greece and Cyprus), in the tourism industry and in sectors related to Greek civilisation.
The MA in Hellenic Studies: Heritage Management aims to enhance student’s knowledge of all major topics related to this scientific field. The proposed courses focus on museums, monuments, tourism, education, digital technologies, and perceptions today and explore the critical reception of the Hellenic past and the Hellenic intellectual production in the modern era.
Doctorate Degrees
The doctorate program’s three specializations—Music Education, Musicology and Composition—offer a broad and comprehensive program in Music to highly qualified students, contributing to the development and upgrading of research activity and shaping a critical and analytical stance towards culture. Through this program, better practices in the field will be promoted, and students will have the opportunity to broaden their research and academic collaboration.
Graduates will be able to apply knowledge and skills as tools for personal and professional development , acting as leaders in their respective fields in the musical, educational and cultural life of their community as well as abroad.
Department of Education Sciences
Bachelor Degrees
The Early Childhood Education program at EUC provides students with a thorough grounding in theory and practice related to early childhood and pre-primary education and hands-on engagement with children and classroom settings. The Early Childhood Education Laboratory at EUC is equipped with innovative learning materials and accommodates children’s participation in activities for educational training and research activities.
Students develop skills to assess and support the development of young children, to design and deliver appropriate teaching material and to continuously develop their own approaches and responses to pedagogic principles, research and policy trends. As part of their teaching practice, our students gain experience in nurseries, day-care centers and kindergartens. Our graduates are prepared for immediate employment or postgraduate studies in various fields of education.
Master Degrees
The MA in Education Sciences at EUC prepares teachers and education leaders to work with toddlers and preschoolers in their formative years. The program offers professional educators theoretical knowledge, hands-on skills and innovative teaching methods using current educational developments and new learning technologies.
Students are exposed to specialized theory and research in their field and are equipped to conduct research based on current developments, practices and trends on a local and international level. The MA degree allows our graduates to receive promotion points for the public sector employment through the new system of appointments of teachers in the public sector.
The MA Education Sciences: Special and Inclusive Education at EUC equips educators with innovative teaching methods and the ability to tailor instruction to students with special needs. You learn how to assess student needs, implement individualized interventions and apply evidence-based practices to real-world situations. Emphasis is placed on the creation of learning environments and classroom management techniques necessary when teaching students who face a variety of challenges, including intellectual, emotional and learning disabilities.
You may choose from electives that include the integration of technology in special education, assessment and education of children with autism and other psycho-emotional challenges and parent/family counseling. Supervised practice-teaching opportunities will give you real-world experience with this special population.
The MA in Education Sciences Educational Management and Leadership at EUC equips students with the skills needed to face modern issues in primary and secondary education today. These include quality assurance, policy analysis, human relations and multicultural education. Emphasis is placed on adapting programs to keep pace with emerging knowledge and technologies and with changing social circumstances.
Our graduates become managers and leaders in the education sector with the ability to use their knowledge and skills to negotiate economic, political and social matters to enable children to learn and communities to progress.
The MA in Education Sciences Technologies of Learning & Communication and STEAM Education at EUC addresses the market demand for educators with skills in the design and application of contemporary learning environments, educational tools and educational materials using emerging technologies. The program offers coursework in distance and e-learning, educational multimedia and Internet applications in learning and communication to equip educators with tools they need to develop programs using these new technologies.
The MA degree helps to move the educator’s thinking from the traditional learning model to one that builds learning communities within the digital world of cloud technologies, on-line learning and multi-media. Our graduates become teachers, managers and leaders in the education sector who are capable of bringing about change using these evolving technologies.

The MSc in Innovation and Technology for Education is a joint degree offered by European University Cyprus, Macromedia University of Applied Sciences (Germany) and EM Lyon Business School (France). Designed in collaboration with Noroff (Norway) to drive transformation in education and training in Europe, the program aims to develop leaders in educational management, pedagogical innovation and education technology (EdTech) entrepreneurship.
The program is delivered by COPERNIA, a consortium of top European institutions specializing in cognitive sciences, technology, educational sciences, innovation and management under the umbrella of Galileo Global Education, a global leader in higher education.
The two-year program blends instructor-led training with experiential learning, immersing students in hands-on projects to apply their research and innovation skills. The program is primarily located on “Le Delta” campus in the Quartier Latin of Paris : the former historic building of AgroParis Tech, a newly-renovated, historic space that fosters a vibrant atmosphere of interdisciplinarity, collaboration and creativity alongside prestigious arts and management schools.
The MA Education Sciences: Training of Adult Educators and Human Resources Development is delivered in collaboration with the Center for Continuing Education and Lifelong Learning (KEDIVIM) of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA).
The program equips students with specialized knowledge in adult learning and lifelong professional development, enabling graduates to design, implement, manage, and evaluate adult education and vocational training programs that support human capital development. Students gain interdisciplinary skills to address challenges in diverse adult learning environments and develop educational programs, learning settings, and tools that foster personal and professional growth. The program also emphasizes the integration of emerging technologies and the cultivation of leadership in adult education organizations.
The program provides students with advanced competencies in digital literacy alongside the development of soft, transversal and socio-emotional skills essential for education, employment and modern social life. The program prepares graduates to meet the evolving demands of educational and professional environments, emphasizing pedagogical innovation, digital competence, critical thinking, adaptability and interpersonal skills. Students also gain the necessary teaching and pedagogical qualifications to contribute effectively to educational institutions and organizations.

Grounded in practice and theory, the program focuses on understanding how people think, develop, and interact. Students learn how the brain works, how it changes with age, and how humans perceive and interpret behavior. The program also emphasizes the social and educational aspects of psychology, as well as the qualitative and quantitative skills required for research, with strong emphasis on methodological training and statistics, and practice in the field.
The degree provides practical training in research, under the supervision of department faculty. Our graduates are well prepared for further study which allows them to specialize in areas such as Clinical Psychology, Educational Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Counselling and Guidance. Our students who pursue postgraduate studies are eligible for registration with the Cyprus Registration Board for Professional Psychologists.

The master’s degree in Career Counseling and Guidance at EUC is an interdisciplinary program which provides students with the knowledge and skills to help individuals in career planning, professional and educational guidance, and career development and growth. With a strong focus on the student’s own professional development, the degree combines taught coursework, practical training and a research dissertation.
The program equips students with a strong background in career counseling techniques, new technologies and professional guidance and development. High level faculty and flexible scheduling make this an attractive program to working professionals for career advancement and skills development. As a career counselling and guidance professional, you will be working with young people, adults, parents, teachers, training providers and employers.
The MPA in Public Administration and Governance at EUC provides students with a multi-disciplinary approach to the study of public sector administration. Courses from the fields of Social Sciences, Law, Economics and Marketing equip students with a skills set necessary in an increasingly diverse society.
Students are exposed to analytical research, budget management, policy development and community involvement. The degree prepares one for a fulfilling career in government, semi-governmental and nonprofit organizations, or provides a solid foundation for research in the field.
The MSc in Child and Adolescent Mental Health at EUC is aimed at professionals working or wishing to work with children, adolescents and their families/guardians. This degree offers a deepening of knowledge in basic areas of child and adolescent mental health with multiple applications within the students’ field of experience and/or interest.
The degree program provides students with in-depth knowledge of policy trends and innovative practices in the mental health field as it relates to children, youth and their families. With a strong focus on early intervention as a preventative measure, the program’s core courses develop skills, knowledge and awareness of child and adolescent psychological development. Emphasis is placed on research methods, design and evaluation related to child and adolescent behavioral and developmental health. Under the supervision of department faculty, students participate in specialized research that furthers their knowledge in their chosen field. Graduates are able to contribute to strategies that promote inclusion and protection of children and emerging adults in a variety of agencies or to pursue doctoral studies in related fields.
Doctorate Degrees
The Ph.D. in Psychology is a program of study that provides the opportunity to candidates to carry out research in a field of Psychology, choosing among Clinical, Counseling, Developmental, Neuropsychology, School and Social Psychology.
The ultimate goal is to train early stage researchers to become independent and to be able to carry out rigorous research in their chosen field of interest.
Successful candidates will be expected to work in universities and research institutes and organisations in Cyprus and abroad or to establish their own practice.
